MOTAT trip

Today Room 3 (and a selection of wonderful parent helpers) stepped back in time to 100 years ago.  We dressed up, wrote with quills and on slates, tried our hand at washing on a scrubbing board, sat in an old bath and even had a lesson in the old school house.  I tried very hard to teach like they did 100 years ago, but it was a little too strict for the kids and me too for that matter.   We took a ride on a tram and looked at all the cool exhibits.   What a great day, even in the wind and rain.  A MASSIVE thank you to our parent helpers, the day wouldn't be possible without you xx
Here are some photos from our trip...

Jesleen tried carrying the water pails...

perhaps for Maia's bath

Will took a turn to carry the water pails...

maybe so Olivia and Mila could do the weekly washing

Flynn tried out the quills and wrote his name

Max waited patiently for his water to arrive...still waiting

Jesleen and Amira donned hats for a day out

Chase tried warming his hands at the open fire

We all took turns to be 'locked' in the stocks

Locking Ms Hogan in the stocks was a great idea (at least that's what the kids thought)

Mrs McKinney didn't seem to mind being locked up

We all took a turn at being the conductor on the tram
