We love our interactive white board!
Today we used it to make sentences, it was fun!

Taller and Shorter

Continuing on with our non-standard measurement we spent some time outside seeing who was taller and who was shorter

"Are you sure Flynn is taller?" asked Tyler

Ethan needed to double check

Noah was not too keen on being shorter than Chase

 

Mila, Olivia and Meher quickly lined up from tallest to shortest

  

Max was taller than Justin

Will was only a little bit taller than Marcus

We lined up from shortest to tallest
(it was really hard to stand still AND keep Noah off his tippy toes!)

BYOD Day

Today was BYOD day (bring your own device day)

 

Max showed Will how to play soccer on his iPad  

 Olivia and Mila helped save Scardy Cat on Olivia's Leap Pad

 

 Flynn taught Meher how to play Doodle Jump 

 Noah and Chase had far too much fun playing games on Noah's iPad.
"I'm having the time of my life" said Chase

Ethan and Jesleen read "The Best Job" with Ethan's Leap Reading pen.

 Justin and Amira played games and 'rocked on' to "What does the fox say?"

 Tyler brought his iPod and he and Marcus played racing games

 Ethan, Olivia and Jesleen enjoyed our class blog

Westlynn Butterfly Garden Trip

Today we went to the butterfly garden. 

 

(for some reason my children all shouted 'Lady Gaga' when I took the picture!)

 Walking through the butterfly house we saw lots of butterflies, caterpillars and chrysalises.

 

We went for a walk and saw a cicada shell...

 and a spider web.

 

We sat in the shade and sketched a leaf, have a look at these...

 

We had a lovely day with Mrs Thompson, Mrs Talbot, Mrs Miller and Isla.
